When your mom calls you to ask if you'd be in on a girl's trip to California to celebrate your grandma's 80th birthday... there is absolutely no hesitation. ;) What a fun couple of days we had!
With a group our size we opted to rent a 15 passenger van. What they don't tell you when you rent one of these suckers is that the trunk space is non-existent. I don't know if you can tell, but look how close those seats in the back are to the window!! We had to get really creative fitting 14 people + luggage + strollers in here. But we did it!
First things first obviously......... food.
Then got checked in to our hotel at the Clarion in Anaheim!
We woke up and headed to the beach! We went to Balboa Beach and rented beach cruisers to ride the boardwalk. It was a dream!
We got lunch and spent some time hanging out on the sand & playing in the water.
We went back to the hotel and cleaned up a bit. Then headed to dinner at The Packing District in Anaheim. It's a marketplace type setting with tons of different restaurants inside! So many choices that you have to walk around three times before you can make any decisions. The only decision that was an absolute no brainer was getting this insane dessert crepe. It had to be done!
While at dinner we realized a few people had some damage done. :/ Don't forget your sunscreen even if it's overcast!!!
We got to bed a little early knowing we had a couple big days ahead!!
